Samarbeidsdesken (The Collaboration Desk) drives innovation through idea development, in-depth research, source cultivation, and data-driven journalism.

Our mission is to empower local newspapers to produce tailored, locally relevant investigative stories within their own coverage areas. The desk acts as a catalyst, an inspirer, and a coordinator for collaborative efforts between local newsrooms.

Our Background and Partnership

The initiative was spearheaded by Vest-Telemark blad and 70 other local newspapers. Today, it is operated as a strategic partnership between:

LLA (The National Association of Local Newspapers)
SUJO (The Centre for Investigative Journalism)
NRK (The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation)

Our Team

The desk is staffed by six journalists, supported by a dedicated team of experts from LLA, SUJO, and NRK who contribute their specialized skills to our collaborative projects.
